Located inside of NYC’s historic Chelsea Market and now on bustling 31st Street, Friedman’s Lunch serves a wide variety of inventive dishes using seasonally changing menu items.  Almost our entire menu can be made or is intrinsically GLUTEN FREE.  No cross contamination by using separate knives, a dedicated gluten free fryer, and offering gluten free bread.

We specialize in take out and delivery and have an expertly crafted wine and beer list at exceptional prices.

Friedman’s Lunch is open for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner seven days a week. Take-out, dine-in and full service catering are available.

We all have our morning routine, whether it’s constantly sleeping past the snooze alarm or downing four cups of coffee before leaving for work, but the routines of most of us could use some improvement. We could all be more productive, and fortunately there are some things you can add to your morning routine to improve your productivity and ensure you get everything done by the end of the day.

Here are 5 morning routines that will boost your productivity.

Wake Up Early

You probably won’t be super productive if you’re waking up at 10:30 every morning, so give yourself as many hours in the day as possible, waking up between 6 and 8 AM. Enough time to ensure you get plenty of sleep, but not so much that you feel groggy and slow all day.

Successful people wake up early for a variety of reasons, whether it’s to have some alone time, to meditate and prepare, or even exercise. Don’t just wake up at dawn to say you woke up at dawn; do something!

That, conveniently, leads us into the next productivity-boosting morning routine.

Take Some Me-Time

We’ve all got to have some time to ourselves where we can just chill, relax, and think. If you give yourself 15-30 minutes in the morning to read a book, sit quietly with your coffee, or just think about the day, you’ll feel prepared, energized, and ready to take on the day.

When you’re working hard, it’s important to dedicate time away from work, family, or whatever else is going on in your life, and have some alone time to relax, think, and prepare. When you set some time aside for yourself in the morning, you won’t need it later on when work gets hectic, as you’ll be ready to take on whatever the world has to offer.

Plan Your Day

Part of staying productive is knowing what’s next, knowing the next task you’re going to complete without having any lag time in between. In order to stay on top of things and maintain a productive lifestyle, one should take some time in the morning to plan the day and decide what tasks you’re going to complete.

Take at least three minutes to plan your day, writing tasks down on sticky notes or putting reminders in your phone or even in a calendar application (all great tools to boost productivity, by the way). Organize your to-do-list in any way you want; it doesn’t have to be done in the exact order you create it; all that matters is that those items are scratched off the list at the end of the day.

When you have a list of things to complete, you don’t waste any time wondering what that next task is supposed to be, which is a place where we lose a lot of time. If you’re going to write something later on in the day, create an outline in the morning and you’ll significantly reduce the amount of time spent on that task.

Play Some Jams

If you can get yourself in a confident, happy mood in the morning, you’ll be full of energy all day and get a lot done – trust me, it’s science. Listening to your favorite music as you get ready for the day puts you in an awesome mood, one that can be sustained all day as you crush it and scratch everything off your to-do-list.

If you aren’t chatting with coworkers or clients around lunch, play some more music to help sustain that fun, confident vibe you created this morning, and you will find it easier to get back to work and accomplish those difficult tasks you’ve got on your plate.

Many people check their email before they’ve even gotten out of bed, and this is a productivity mistake you should stop making. Honestly, your inbox can wait until you’ve arrived at work; if anything super urgent occurred, they would have called you.
